Emily and Russell have one thing in common - their love of Rooibos tea. Together they found the very best Red bush tea, commonly known as Rooibos tea, crafted from the leaves of a shrub named Aspalathus linearis, found along the western coast of South Africa. Unlike black or green tea, Rooibos is an herbal infusion. Traditional Rooibos undergoes a fermentation process, imparting a reddish-brown hue to the leaves. There's also a non-fermented version known as green Rooibos. Rooibos boasts higher levels of antioxidants such as aspalathin and quercetin. These antioxidants play a role in safeguarding cells from harm caused by free radicals. Over the long term, they may reduce the risk of chronic conditions like heart disease and cancer and has favorable effects on blood pressure.
